We require a non-refundable 20% deposit to secure your booking. The balance to be paid on arrival.

For day care the charge is £20 per day for one dog, and £15 per day for each subsequent dog from the same family.

For overnight boarding the charge is £25 per day for one dog, and £20 per day for each subsequent dog from the same family. The rate starts on the day you drop off your dog and finishes on the day of collection.

There may be an additional charge if the drop off/collection time is before 7am or after 8pm.

If you collect your dog before the confirmed end date of the board you will not receive a refund.

Bank holidays and public holidays are not charged extra. There are no hidden charges or registration fees.

Drop off / Collection of dogs must be via appointment only.

We regret we are unable to accept any aggressive dogs. If your dog shows aggressive behaviour towards either a person or another dog, we will have no option but to accommodate your dog in a local boarding kennels. This will incur a £20.00 fee plus the cost of the boarding kennels.

We regret we are unable to accept destructive dogs. Whilst we accept accidents can happen, we expect any damage incurred to property to be reimbursed to The Dog Den by the owner.

We regret but The Dog Den does not usually accept dogs that are not neutered/spayed. However, we may make an exception if the dog is under one year old.

We like to walk the dogs off the lead in safe areas, away from traffic, but will only be willing to do so if your dog is trustworthy off the lead and has good recall. Please indicate as appropriate your consent on the booking form. Please also note that during the COVID-19 pandemic, off leads walks will only be possible in private fields where there are no other people.

The owner must provide a name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the dog in an emergency. If the contact is not available, The Dog Den reserves the right to consult your veterinary surgeon, and then make a decision which is in the best interests of the dog.

If your own veterinary surgeon is unavailable or is a distance away, The Dog Den reserves the right to consult our own veterinary surgeon in the case of an emergency.

The owner is responsible for any veterinary bills, whilst dogs are in the care of The Dog Den.

The owner must provide a name and contact number of someone who may be able to collect the dog in an emergency. If the contact is not available, as a last resort, The Dog Den may have no other choice but to accommodate your dog in local kennels.

Although The Dog Den holds Dog Boarding and Public Liability Insurance, it is recommended that owners have their own pet insurance cover.

The Dog Den will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, The Dog Den cannot be held liable for any loss, accident, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.

The owner must provide the dog’s food. If insufficient food is supplied, you agree to refund The Dog Den in the event of having to purchase additional food.

Dog beds, collars, leads, toys and bowls are available at The Dog Den but if the dog’s own equipment is necessary/preferred, it will all be washed on arrival and before departure by The Dog Den.

All dogs must have up-to-date inoculations, including kennel cough and be free of fleas. Where your dog has not been able to have his/her latest vaccinations due to COVID-19 this condition may be relaxed, as long as a full history of previous vaccinations is available.
